Strategies
· Face student when speaking, allow time for interpretation.
· Don’t talk while writing on white board
· Get attention of student before communication
· Outline schoolwork/schedule visually
· Use visual aids
· Short, concise instruction
· Introduce the interpreter to the class
· Always have an emergency plan
